Mindfulness & Yoga Summer Solstice Retreat Day

The intention of the Mindfulness & Yoga Summer Solstice Retreat Day is to create a space to reset & re-energise.

The Summer Solstice relates to feeling energised, the desire to move our bodies & to celebrate the long summer days.

Summer Solstice retreat

In the first part of the Retreat Day, we will be focusing on Reflecting

        • Mindfulness Meditation – becoming aware of your achievements so far this year & offering gratitude to yourself
        • Hatha Yoga Practice – Use gentle yoga postures to become aware of your body

We will then go outside and Reconnect with Nature

  • Mindful Movement – Mindful Walking & Yoga Stretches
  • Connecting with your senses  – foraging for seasonal flowers & plants

In the second part of the day, we will be focusing on Re-Energising

  • Mindfulness Meditation – Fierce Self-Compassion relates to motivation and creating stronger boundaries (learning how to say ‘No’)
  • Hatha Yoga –  using yoga postures to help you feel energised & uplifted

The Retreat Day will finish with a

Summer Solstice Ceremony – pausing to celebrate life, feeling connected to others & to nature

Reviews

  • Firstly I must thank you for a very informative relaxing day spent for myself to enjoy.
I felt fulfilled, content, tired, and headachy in a good relaxed way!    The following day on Monday, I felt great minus the headachy and tired feeling.
It is the first retreat day I have been along to, so was pleasantly surprised.
Thanks again for a wonderful day.    Elaine, East Lothian
  • In all the busyness of life, amongst all the commitments we juggle week to week, it is so good to give yourself a bit of space to relax, refocus and rejuvenate. And that is exactly what you experience at the Retreat Day hosted by Geraldine from Me Time Therapies and Denise from Yirdlins Yoga. Combining yoga, mindfulness,  and lots of self-care advice, the Retreat Day was a lovely way to mark the end of winter and focus on the year ahead.  I slowed right down and felt very restful at the end, sleeping very deeply that night!     J.F.
