The intention of the Summer Solstice Retreat Day is to create a space to reset & re-energise.
The Summer Solstice relates to feeling energised, the desire to move our bodies & to celebrate the long summer days.
In the first part of the Retreat Day, we will be focusing on Reflecting
- Mindfulness Meditation – becoming aware of your achievements so far this year & offering gratitude to yourself
- Hatha Yoga Practice – Use gentle yoga postures to become aware of your body
We will then go outside and Reconnect with Nature
- Mindful Movement – Mindful Walking & Yoga Stretches
- Connecting with your senses – foraging for seasonal flowers & plants
In the second part of the day, we will be focusing on Re-Energising
- Mindfulness Meditation – Fierce Self-Compassion relates to motivation and creating stronger boundaries (learning how to say ‘No’)
- Hatha Yoga – using yoga postures to help you feel energised & uplifted
The Retreat Day will finish with a
Summer Solstice Ceremony – pausing to celebrate life, feeling connected to others & to nature
Trainers: I will be joined by Denise from Yirdlins Yoga to facilitate the Yoga sessions. Denise says ‘ my teaching practice is informed by the philosophy of yoga, the natural flow of the seasons, and being out in nature’. I will be facilitating the Mindfulness sessions.
